About The Bones Club

Here, it’s all about dogs—honoring their joy, their quirks, and the unforgettable moments they bring into our lives.
The Bones Club is a global online and offline dog community. We have a dog dating/meeting app where you can interact with other dog owners in your area. On this platform you will find a forum, a dog blog, dog training online academy and some cool merchandise. We have a Discord server where we all hang out and talk and share our passion for dogs.

Our Kickstarter campaign is there to get a foundation to make all of this possible, and keep all of our features free to use.
But, that’s not all. Our ultimate goal is actually have a physical club house (The Dog House), where owners can go indoors with their best friend, and have all kinds of play equipment, play area’s, lounge area, training area’s and so on.
There is a grooming salon and a café. It’s a place for dogs and owners to belong.
A magical dreamland for dog (humans allowed).

My Personal Backstory

I’m Jamie Zwarts, a lifelong dog advocate and the voice behind this community. From the time our Irish wolf dog stuck his nose in my cradle, I knew dogs weren’t just pets—they’re family and friends who teach us loyalty, laughter, love, joy and protection.
The Irish wolf dog (Nina) was bred by my father. We lived in a farm house in the Netherlands surrounded by corn fields. As a toddler I would disappear and run away into the corn fields and my parents would sent Nina to fetch me. She was always by my side and made sure i didn’t wonder too far off and stayed within bounds.

Later in life my father opened his own dog school, and wrote a few books in the early 90’s about dog behavior, training and psychology. He especially focused on behavioral therapy. Which meant that we always had a few “trouble” dogs at home. They came from the vet or police department, after someone submitted the dog to be put down. They were being rehabilitated within our family and I still remember every strict rule in our home on how to handle them from an early age. In 100% of all these cases, I quickly found that it was never the dog that was the issue. There never was a so called “lost case” to be found.

Over the years, many soon to become police dogs would find their way to our training grounds and our home. I watched them in awe, as I realized they were not just compliant pets, they were majestic in everything they did. One of them, was a disqualified Rottweiler named “Butcher”, who’s name and looks sent every single bully in my neighborhood running for the hills. But in reality, he was disqualified because he was too much of a softy. He was a keeper in my brain, and again became my friend till the end. He was huge, but ever so gentle. Well trained by me and my dad and literally sat down at the blink of an eye.
